Communication from Carol McLeod of Carol McLeod Design was shared with the Committee with regard to <br /> the firm's interest in the Town Seal project. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Discussion and Approval of a Town Seal Survey <br /> Discussion and Approval of Distribution and Time Period of a Town Seal Survey <br /> The above two items were discussed simultaneously. <br /> Discussion surrounded the "Draft" survey that had been prepared by Mr. Lehrer as it appears below: <br /> Town SeaCCommittee <br /> Mashpee Town Seal Redesign <br /> Community Survey <br /> The Town Seal Committee was established by the Board of Selectmen following the May 2019 Town Meeting <br /> upon successful petition to redesign the Mashpee Town Seal. Today's Town Seal is not reflective of Mashpee's <br /> history or and is seen as a symbol reflective of the genocide of Native People. The Town Seal <br /> Committee, in order to propose an updated design that recognizes and honors the Town's history, its <br /> culture, and that which makes Mashpee unique, seeks your input. <br /> Please choose your top three (3) priorities from the list below as the most important symbols to depict on the <br /> new Mashpee Town Seal. Please elaborate on your choices using the space provide on page 2. <br />
