4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 11, 2021 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Seasonal Population Estimate: Town Planner Evan Lehrer: <br /> Correspondence was received from Evan Lehrer, Town Planner dated January 4, 2021 regarding the <br /> estimated seasonal population of the peak of the summer season as 36,198 persons. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to accept the estimated population of 36,198 persons at the <br /> peak of the summer season as recommended by the Town Planner. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Update, Discussion and Possible Action Relative to COVID-19: <br /> The Governor has extended his Executive Order regarding temporary capacity and gathering limits to <br /> remain at 25% limited capacity with gatherings limited to 10 persons indoors and 25 persons outdoors. <br /> To date, the Town of Mashpee has had 376 COVID-19 cases with 64 in isolation. <br /> It was reported a Quashnet School student has tested positive and has had no close contact with students or <br /> staff members. <br /> A new directive has been issued to Department Heads regarding travel procedures. The Mashpee Town <br /> Hall is operational, but shall remain closed to the public until further notice. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval to Authorize the Town Manager to Execute Amendment No. 2 to the Medical <br /> Marijuana Host Community Agreement; M3 Ventures Inc. d/b/a Triple M Mashpee Inc. (Formerly Known <br /> as Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts, Inc.): <br /> At the last meeting,the Select Board requested the Town Manager to negotiate the Host Community <br /> Agreement annual payment to an amount equal to 3% of gross revenue received by M3 Ventures d/b/a <br /> Triple M Mashpee for all marijuana product sales at the Mashpee facility. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins recommended approval and authorization to execute a modified Host <br /> Community Agreement using the 3% of gross sales formula. <br />
