6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 11, 2021 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment of the following to the Mashpee Cable and Advanced <br /> Technology Committee (MCAT): Christopher R Nelson II (Term Expires June 30 2023) R Micheal <br /> Se roves Term Expires June 30 2022) Jennifer McLarnon (Term Expires June 30, 2022): <br /> Correspondence was received from Dan Riley of the Mashpee Cable and Advanced Technology <br /> Committee (MCAT) dated January 5, 2021 recommending the appointment of three candidates for at- <br /> large membership. Included in the communication was letters of interest and resumes from the <br /> perspective candidates. It was noted that all three candidates were interviewed and are worthy of <br /> appointment. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint the following to the MCAT Board as At-Large <br /> Members; <br /> Christopher R. Nelson II—Term to expire; June 30,2023 <br /> R. Micheal Segroves—Term to expire; June 30, 2022 <br /> Jennifer McLarnon—Term to expire; June 30, 2022 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Community Preservation Committee: The CPC has scheduled a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 14, <br /> 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to review the needs, possibilities and resources of the Town of Mashpee as they relate <br /> to historic preservation, recreation, affordable housing and open space. The public and interested town <br /> departments, boards and committees and town officials are invited to provide comment. <br /> Sewer Commission: The Sewer Commission will be invited to attend the next Select Board meeting <br /> to review articles proposed for the May 2021 Town Meeting warrant. It was recommended that copies of <br /> the recent Sewer Commission meeting minutes be distributed to the Select Board prior to their next <br /> meeting. <br /> May Town Meeting Warrant: It was recommended the Select Board move forward with a Town Meeting <br /> article requesting authorization to purchase plate readers for use at the Transfer Station and Town beaches. <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> Wastewater Project: Field investigations associated to Phase I of the Wastewater Treatment Facility and <br /> Collection design are underway. Site clearing adjacent to the Transfer Station has begun as well as survey <br /> work and soil test borings along the road and adjacent road shoulder. Information on the Wastewater Plan <br /> may be found on the Town's website; www.maslipeema.gov under the heading; Department of Public <br /> Works. <br /> Town Hall Closure: In observance of the Martin Luther King holiday, Town Hall will be closed on Monday, <br /> January 18, 2021. <br />
