13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 2, 2020 <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Chamber of Commerce: Through the Chamber of Commerce, Thanksgiving dinners will be distributed to <br /> Mashpee residents in need. Safety protocols will be in place for delivery scheduled on Wednesday,November <br /> 25, 2020. Those requesting meals may call the Chamber at 508-477-0792 before Friday,November 20, 2020. <br /> Volunteers are needed for this service. <br /> Election: As a reminder, residents are urged to vote on Tuesday,November 6, 2020. Polls are open from 7:00 <br /> a.m. until 8:00 p.m. <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins updated the Board on the following matters; <br /> Littering: With regards to Fine Laws, a Fee Schedule will be imposed in an effort to control litter. The Board <br /> of Selectmen will review a list of fines, per offense and penalties thereof for the October Town Meeting. <br /> Live Auction: This year the Town has placed surplus items for auction online. Those who have contributed to the <br /> success of the auction was recognized as nearly $60,000 has been procured. <br /> Paying- Night work is being conducted to re-pave Route 28 in the area of the Mashpee Rotary to Donna's Lane. <br /> Housing Assistance Program: The Board recently obtained notice from the Mashpee Housing Authority regarding <br /> their inability to administer the Housing Assistance Program. A draft policy is under consideration for this service <br /> to be administered by the Human Service Director and Council on Aging Director. <br /> Dedication of the Mashpee Community Garden: In honor of Michael Talbot,the dedication of the community <br /> garden is planned on November 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. <br /> Boys & Girls Club Motorcade: The Boys and Girls Club is planning to hold a Polar Express motorcade on <br /> December 12, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., a drive by to enjoy decorations and the magic of holiday lighting at local <br /> businesses and homes. The route has not been finalized, but it is projected the motorcade will not exceed <br /> 50 vehicles.
