3 <br /> Finance Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, 2021 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Request for Transfer from the Reserve Fund from the Health Agent: <br /> Glen Harrington,Health Agent was present to request the Finance Committee support a Reserve <br /> Fund Transfer in the amount of$5,000 to replace a ground water monitoring well and a soil gas <br /> monitoring well at the Asher's Path capped landfill adjacent to the Town's transfer station. <br /> It was recently identified the groundwater monitoring well W-I I is damaged beyond repair and <br /> the soil gas monitoring well SGW-1 has been destroyed. The expenditure is deemed <br /> extraordinary and unforeseen. Wells are often found damaged by mowing equipment,vehicles <br /> and other unforeseen incidents. <br /> An article was placed on the Town Meeting warrant to fund this item based on the <br /> recommendation and estimate provided by Tighe &Bond environmental engineers. It is <br /> necessary to replace the wells as soon as possible. <br /> The Finance Committee Reserves has a balance of$57,236. <br /> Motion made by Mr.Miller to approve the Reserve Fund Transfer request in the amount <br /> of$5,000 to be transferred to the Landfill Maintenance/Engineering Account. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Pettengill, yes Mr. McKelvey,yes Mr. Richardson, yes <br /> Mr. Miller, yes Mr. Brady, yes Mr. Carrier,yes Opposed, none <br /> Review of proposed Town Warrant articles: <br /> The Finance Committee continued their review of the May Special &Annual Town Meeting <br /> Warrants of Monday,May 3, 2021 moving forward with Draft#2. <br /> SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> Article 1 HELD <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $ from revenue <br /> available for appropriation to the Snow & Ice Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> The article was HELD for a monetary amount. <br />
