In observing the directive of the Finance Committee Town
Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated his budget recommendation is level funded, fiscally
prudent and conservative.
With the exception of the Police Department submitting a level funded budget, reductions have
been made across the board with exclusions provided for the Health Department, the
Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office and the Transfer Station. The budget also adheres to collective
bargaining obligations associated to personnel which are essential expenses related to operational
functions. This includes salaries, wages, overtime expenses and scheduled pay adjustments.
