Minutes Mashpee Waterways Commission <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Date:7/13/21 <br /> Minutes: <br /> Chairman Ken Bates convened the meeting at 9:02am in the Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Attendees: Ken Bates, Don MacDonald,Tim Leedham,Gregg Fraswer, Dick Noonan. <br /> Also present: Dave Thompson,Waquoit Bay Y.C. Dredge Committee <br /> Absent:Steve Mone,Al Wickel <br /> Minutes: <br /> The Following minutes were approved:The regular session of Tuesday June 8,2021 <br /> Motion to Approve made by Don MacDonald and seconded by Gregg Fraser. Unanimously <br /> approved by all those present <br /> Appointments&Information Sessions: <br /> No reports <br /> Communications&Correspondence: <br /> We received 4 permit applications: <br /> - Installation of a seasonal dock and pier removal at 100 Lakewood Drive <br /> - Dock float construction at 46 Little Neck Lane <br /> - NOI to extend a pier, relocate a ramp and float, install 5 new piling, remove and relocate 4 <br /> pilings at 78 Popponesset Island Road <br /> - Initiate dredging project at 80 Pinkhorn Point Raod <br /> Ken will check with Jeff Smith to confirm he has both received and taken action. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Harbormaster Report: No report <br /> DNR Director/Shellfish Constable Reporf:No report <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby and John's Pond and fresh waters: Don MacDonald reported that <br /> Mashpee/Wakeby Lake,which had been shut down for Cyanobacteria,just reopened following <br /> 2 weeks of clear testing.Santuit Pond also had been closed due to Cyanobacteria but Don <br /> was uncertain as to its current status. <br /> Don also reported that the island of Mashpee/Wakeby did get approval for the 150' private <br /> swim area around the 3 islands.And that the Trustees of Lowell Holly will continue to keep the <br /> peninsular closed to boat traffic and allow swimming only off the beach. <br /> Popponesset Bay Area: No report <br /> Waquoit Bay Area: No report <br />
