12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 7, 2021 <br /> Discussion and Approval of End of Year Transfer Request: <br /> The Board of Selectmen was requested to allow a transfer of$32,000 from the FY21 DPW Salary Account <br /> to the FY21 Transfer Station Operating Account to cover anticipated expenses for the remainder of 2021. <br /> The shortfall is due to the increase in bulky waste and trash disposal, recycling and hazardous waste <br /> disposal. Funds are available in the DPW Salary Account to offset the shortfall. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the End of Year Transfer request of$32,000 from the <br /> FY21 DPW Salary Account to the FY21 Transfer Station Operating Account. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Communication regarding Mashpee Commons: The Board of Selectmen was noted to be in receipt of many <br /> letters and emails regarding the proposed expansion of Mashpee Commons, The Board being aware of the <br /> concerns agreed to not move forward with articles for the October 2021 Town Meeting, and voted to defer <br /> the proposal to March 2022. This is a great opportunity for the Town of Mashpee. However,the project <br /> proposal is in its initial stages and the Board of Selectmen and Planning Board has just begun their course of <br /> review. <br /> Eagle Scout Program: It was announced the Eagle Scouts program remains strong with(3) new Eagle <br /> Scouts bringing forth a total membership of 236 scouts. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Resignation from the South Cape Beach Advisory Committee: Jeralyn Smith: <br /> Correspondence was received from Jeralyn J. Smith dated May 21, 2021 resigning from the South Cape <br /> Beach State Park Advisory Committee effective May 23, 2021. Ms. Smith has served on this committee for <br /> 19 years. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to accept the resignation of Jeralyn Smith from the South Cape <br /> Beach Advisory Committee with regret sending a letter of appreciation to Ms. Smith for her <br /> dedicated service to the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />
