We have a good idea
of where it is. The biggest concern is boats cutting with props, the Milfoil gets cut, floats
away, and reseeds elsewhere. Signage is out there to wash the boats because of
invasive species, but there's no hose or spigot.
Mr. Sweet asked who pays for the water stations, Agent said the State controls all but
Mashpee Neck. DNR will put out buoys. Consultant recommends for removal, a diver
hand cut for a small patch and an aquatic herbicide if it's larger. We might need no
swimming for 24 hours. Agent said we'll fill out our own NOI for this, the Town has
already funded this. Hopefully this will get done fast, by the fall. Agent will keep
everyone updated.
• Updates:
o Childs River restoration
