3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 9, 2021 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: (continued) <br /> Lynne Barbee of Surf Drive expressed appreciation to the Board of Selectmen for making the decision to not <br /> move forward without a completed Development Agreement. Ms. Barbee noted she is disturbed the Chair of <br /> the Planning Board appears to be moving forward as if there is a Development Agreement. <br /> Discussion and Approval of the following Special Event Applications: <br /> National Night Out—Tuesdaygust 17 2021 5-7 pm Frank E. Hicks Drive: Police Chief Scott Carling: <br /> Due to current circumstances the above referenced venue has been cancelled. <br /> Annual Screech at the Beach— Saturday October 23 2021 10:30am-12:30 pm Shore Drive to South Cape <br /> Beach: Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod: Boys &Girls Club of Cape Cod President Jim Kiley_ <br /> A Special Event Application from the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod was presented to the Board of Selectmen <br /> for the Annual Screech at the Beach 5k run/walk planned to be held on October 23, 2021 at the Popponesset <br /> Marketplace, Shore Drive Mashpee. Approximately 150-200 runners are expected to attend this event proposed <br /> to begin at 10:30 a.m. from Shore Drive to Rock Landing Road and back. The event is limited to 1000 <br /> participants. <br /> Applicable regulatory officials have signed off on the event application. Three detail police officers will be <br /> required for safety. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Annual Screech at the Beach on Saturday, October 23, <br /> 2021 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />
