They're putting out seed <br /> mixes for the mitigation plantings and finalizing signage. There will be a revised <br /> trail system. Water was released and fish observed, likely minnows. <br /> o Red Brook Road culvert <br /> Nothing new to report, still waiting to hear about the DER Priority Project grant <br /> application. No recent complaints from abutters. Agent to attend upcoming <br /> Association meeting on 9/11/21 <br /> o Upper Quashnet restoration <br /> Data collection is still ongoing, they're close to the conceptual plan phase. <br /> o Bylaw Review subcommittee <br /> Agent sent out 3 versions of out Mitigation Regulation 12 to the commissioners. <br /> One is the existing regulation, one has proposed edits that the subcommittee <br /> worked on, and one is a clean version of what the final product will look like. <br /> The subcommittee will reconvene at a future date. <br /> The new Shellfish Mitigation falls under the parameters of the Bylaw/what the <br /> Commission can do. Once finalized, we put an ad in the paper for public <br /> comment, then promulgation at a public meeting. It's then added to regulations. <br /> o Sewer Substation Review Subcommittee (0 Mashpee Neck Rd) N/A <br /> o Johns Pond Milfoil <br /> We're in the final steps of submitting an NOI, we anticipate filing late <br /> August/early September. This qualifies for Appendix A — limited ecological <br /> restoration. <br /> o Chop Chaque Bog <br /> Horsley Witten installed monitoring devices to start data collection.We will have <br /> an onsite with MA State FWS In Lieu Fee Program and HW to go over the scope <br /> of work and what type restoration is best in this situation. <br /> o Discussion: Mashpee River habitat improvement-Joint meeting with Shellfish, <br /> DNR and Waterways <br /> There was a meeting with the Agent, Ken Bates, Peter Thomas, and Wayne <br /> Taylor. We want to have a discussion with Water Ways, Conservation <br /> Commission, and Shellfish Commission can sit down and brainstorm about <br /> what we can do to improve water quality. One thing that was brought up was <br /> the idea of focused-dredging to make sure shellfish propagation areas are <br />
