It is her intentto bring up the issue on critical race <br /> theory. We have to be aware of misunderstandings and interpretations where this issue is <br /> raised. <br /> Barn stable's No Place for Hate have contracted for a training for bystander training with <br /> issues of discrimination.They are covering for Chairwoman to attend and train, she was <br /> thrilled to be asked and will attend. <br /> In one of Ms. Stevenson's oth er grou ps, Conversations that Matter, she was introduced to <br /> Becky Field. Ms. Field has produced two books and is a retired scientist in NH. This book, <br /> Finding Home: Portraits and Memories of Immigrants, was awarded a golden prize. Ms. <br /> Stevenson was able to have lunch with herin NH,she has an exhibit at U N H and is starting <br /> to give presentations. It occurred to Madam Chairthat it may be good for MIDC. We have <br /> focused on ou r tri bal relationships which is great, and the issue with George Floyd, she would <br /> now I i ke to take ou r focu s to immigrants and refu gees within our own Community. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Proposed Immigrant Project <br /> Ms. Stevenson asked Ms. Field for a proposal, exploring diversity through stories and photos. <br /> She will come into the community and work with school age children, not necessarily HS, and <br /> 4 <br />
