Mashpee Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) <br />Minutes — November 26, 2019 <br />6:00 PM <br />Popponesset Meeting Room <br />Mashpee Town Hall <br />Present: Denise Dutson (via phone), Pamela McCarthy, Patrice Pimental, Glenn <br />Thompson, Carol Sherman <br />Absent: Robyn Simmons <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br />Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:17 p.m. <br />2. Approval of the minutes <br />Approval of the September minutes was tabled. <br />3. Treasurer's report <br />There was no treasurer's report for this meeting as the treasurer was absent. <br />4. Old Business <br />EDIC Survey for Businesses -Carol, Denise, Mary Lou Tasha and Katie Acheson will meet to <br />go over the questions. Carol would like this to be ready by the EDIC meeting in January and <br />out by February. <br />5. New Business <br />The committee agreed to go through the Economic Development section of the town's <br />Comprehensive Plan (found here: <br />https: / /www.mashpeema.gov/ sites/ mashpeema/ files/uploads/ economicdevelopme <br />nt.pdf) and note which sections need to be changed or updated. The committee would use <br />the Town's Annual Report to get the necessary statistics and information. <br />6. Communications and Correspondence <br />There will be a wellness center that provides CBD oil facials and massages that will open in <br />Summerfield Park in December. <br />7. Additional Topics <br />The committee discussed bringing in a speaker to discuss issues such as wastewater, <br />conservation, and/or climate change and how it could affect business or commerce. Carol said <br />she would ask Mary Adams Oleksak of Mashpee Clean Waters to speak. <br />
