Finance Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> August 12, 2021 <br /> Discussion between guests and Mr. Miller regarding the vote by the School Committee to award <br /> bonuses to school dept employees. <br /> Handout: Mashpee Public Schools Additional Expenses due to Covid-19 as of June 30, 2021. <br /> Explanation of expenditures listed in Handout of additional school department expenses by guests. <br /> Discussion with guests of use of Covid related funds received for use in Mashpee School and <br /> additional expenses incurred due to Covid 19 virus, estimate of receipt of CARES Act funds and FEMA <br /> funds. <br /> 1A) Town Manager Updates <br /> Handout: MASHPEE COVID FUNDIING (CARES, FEME ARPA) <br /> (Report does not include funds received or to be received directly by schools) <br /> Handout: Memorandum from Executive Office for Administration & Finance Federal Funds <br /> Office (FFO) <br /> Discussion and report by Town Manager, Mr. Collins. Breakdown of COVID funds received and <br /> estimate of future receipt. Discussion of acceptable use of COVID funds received by Town and these <br /> funds are not only for single short terms use by for future use, including wastewater. <br /> Town has received approximately one half of ARPA funds of$1,489,329.00 to date of approximately <br /> $744,665.00 and expected to receive the remaining amount next year. <br /> Discussion of eligible uses Coronavirus local Fiscal Recovery Funds Memo from FFO <br /> Town Manager: Town tracking of direct Covid related use of funds and expenses that are separate <br /> from normal operational expenses by Town departments. Some Covid related expenses will become <br /> new operational expenses, e.g. air quality expenses will become new operational expenses, e.g. air <br /> quality equipment. <br /> Town Manager: Marijuana revenue to Town. No exact dollar amount at this date but will have at the <br /> next meeting. <br /> 4) Review and discussion of DRAFT Town Warrant for Town Meeting on October 18, 2021 <br /> Finance Committee will review and discuss at nest meeting <br /> Chair will make and notify FC members of their assignments for the drafting of explanations. <br /> 5) Discussion on rescheduling September 16, 2021 meeting <br /> Rescheduling of September 16, 2021 meeting to Tuesday September 14, 2021 and early start at 5:30 <br /> p.m. <br />
