CC 77. pi,)) <br /> ie"�torical O P 1111 •�._710 1 <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Ui.E Cl}. <br /> Telephone - (508) 539-1438 <br /> MASHPEE HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting—July 8, 2021 <br /> Mashpee Historical Commission meeting was called to order by Ava Costello, Chair, at 4:25 pm. <br /> Commissioners Present: Ava Costello, Richard DeSorgher, Brian Hyde, Rosemary Burns Love, Nancy <br /> Soderberg, and Joan Tavares-Avant participated by phone. <br /> Commissioners not Present: Brian Weeden <br /> War Memorial Monument <br /> We are in need of additional funding to proceed with the War Memorial Project. Rosemary made a <br /> Motion that Richard write a proposed article requesting additional $75,000 to be voted on at the next <br /> Town Meeting on October 18th. The Motion was seconded by Ava Costello, and was unanimously <br /> approved. <br /> The Archives Records <br /> Both Ava Costello and Richard DeSorgher met with the Town Manager in May to discuss the possibility of <br /> having a professional Archivist assist us in evaluating our collection and educate us on the proper way to <br /> protect them. We should also prepare a complete inventory of our records, although a great deal of that <br /> work has been done. <br /> Rosemary is reviewing her research on the Witches Place and will write up the history about it. <br /> Brian Hyde will try to find a volunteer to be the Treasurer of the MOSH Preservation Council. <br /> Next meeting will be on August 5'h at 4:00pm. <br /> A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 5:20pm. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ann Graham, Sr. Clerk <br />
