Mead and Janice M. Mead Doc.: 1162751
45 Lisa Lane Ctf.: 193888
(Map 99 Parcel 2)
Mashpee, MA 02649
A Petition was filed on January 13, 2020 by Owners, Barry and Janice Mead requesting a
Modification of an approved Written Finding (FINDING-2019-06) to allow for
construction of a front deck and reducing the size of the original approved addition on
property located in an R-3 Zoning District, at 45 Lisa Lane, (Map 99 Parcel 2), Mashpee,
MA.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter
40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on January 17, 2020 and January 24, 2020 a copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of
Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday,
February 12, 2020 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were
present; Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board Members, Scott Goldstein, Norman J.
Gould, and Associate Members, Sharon Sangeleer, and George Ganzenmuller.
Mr. Steve Cook,Cotuit Bay Design represented the petition for a modification. The project
was approved at the hearings dated January 9, 2019 for a family room addition that was 20
ft. by 24 ft. The existing house was non-conforming to the front setback. The homeowners
made a change to their plan by reducing the family room to 13 ft. by 20 ft., and the front
deck is 9'6" by 14'.4" and is 38 ft. from the front property line where the previous family
room was 36.5 ft. The plan that was submitted shows the dashed line where the deck was
originally, and there's a darker line showing the dimensions of the new deck.
Sharon read the Conservation Comments into the record. There were no more comments
from the Board or audience.
1
