Taylor <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Sherman at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />1® <br />MondU, September 13, 2021 Regular Session: <br />Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Regular Session minutes of Monday, <br />September 13, 2021 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />Susan Dagel indicated that it has been three months since the Mashpee-Wakeby Pond group has been <br />formed. During this time 107 members have been recruited with activities reported on social media. Of <br />note is the Make a Splash event that was held on September 12'h to forge alliances with local businesses, <br />the pond front owners and Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. <br />The group is presently initiating a lawn sign campaign to gain support for the passage of Article 16 <br />proposed to fund a diagnostic study of Mashpee-Wakeby Pond. The Board of Selectmen was urged to <br />accelerate the sewering by focusing on the ponds. This is a prioritized goal of the committee. <br />In the absence of Sarah Chase, Partner of Mashpee Commons, LP Jeannie Kampas read aloud a letter to <br />the Board of Selectmen dated September 27, 2021 regarding the agenda topic on this date: Presentation <br />on Trout Pond: Dr. James Simmons. (enclosure) <br />The letter stated Trout Pond is situated on private property owned by A.B. Chace, Jr. since 1980 and that <br />Mr. Chace nor Mashpee Commons has received notice of this agenda item. For the record it was also <br />stated "the proposed Mashpee Commons expansion project not only preserves Trout Pond but would <br />significantly improve the trail system in the area for public use by the community." <br />
