<br />MASHPEE CULTURAL COUNCIL <br />MINUTES JANUARY 13/14, 2021 VIA ZOOM <br /> <br />PRESENT: Nina Cocomazzi, David Egel, Winnie Graham, Bill Nay, MaryKate O’Brien, Mary Alice <br />Stahleker, Andrea Watson, Janet Wright. No visitors signed into Zoom. <br /> <br />Before calling the meeting to order A. Watson reported that application #11, Read to Me KCC, has been <br />withdrawn as there has been an anonymous donation pledged. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Andrea Watson at 10:08 a.m. All members being present, there was a <br />quorum. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the October 8, 2020 meeting were unanimously APPROVED on motion by D. Egel, seconded <br />by J. Wright. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT - N. Cocomazzi reported: <br />Grant Year 2020 <br />17 Grant Applications <br /> 5 Denied Grants Requested: $9,239 <br /> 2 Cancelled Grants Approved: $5,862 <br /> 9 Paid Grants Paid: $4,369 <br /> 1 Extended to 2021 Encumbered: $350 <br />Remainder = underspent and cancelled <br />CARRY FORWARD = $1,112 <br /> ALLOTMENT for FY 2021 = $5,300 <br /> AVAILABLE TO GRANT for 2021 = $6,412 <br /> On motion by W. Graham, seconded by B. Nay, the report was unanimously APPROVED. <br />A.Watson thanked N. Cocomazzi for the extra work she has undertaken in this extraordinary year. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS – None <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />The Mashpee Cultural grant requirements were reviewed and decision process discussed. Each of the twenty- <br />two (22) grant applications was reviewed. <br /> <br />On motion by D. Egel, seconded by MK. O’Brien, it was unanimously VOTED by all present to approve grant <br />requests in the amount of $6,412. All were unanimously voted by those present except recusals as noted in the <br />attached and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />A.Watson and N. Cocomazzi will notify those whose applications were denied. The applicants have 15 days <br />to request reconsideration. Acceptance notifications will be sent February 1, 2021 and projects must be <br />completed by December 31, 2021. <br /> <br />Business being completed, the continuation of the meeting scheduled for tomorrow is not required. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />On motion by D. Egel, seconded by B. Nay, it was unanimously VOTED to adjourn.
