Thorp Pg.: 58 <br /> 62 Riverside Road <br /> (Map 119 Parcel 136) <br /> Mashpee,MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on March 1,2021,by Owners, Scott W. and Linda D.Thorp requesting <br /> a Written Finding under §174-17 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for an extension and <br /> alteration of a pre-existing non-conforming structure on property located in an R3 Zoning <br /> District, at 62 Riverside Road, Map 119 Parcel 136, Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter <br /> 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on March 5, 2021 and March 12, 2021. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday March <br /> 24, 2021 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and <br /> acting throughout; Chairman,Jonathan Furbush,Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board <br /> Member, Norman J. Gould, and Associate Members, George Ganzenmuller and Charlie <br /> Reidy. <br /> Scott and Linda Thorp represented themselves for their proposed project. They would like <br /> to build a 15 ft. x 18 ft. room extending off the existing kitchen with a slider door that will <br /> replace the existing deck. They wanted to know if they could put in a four foot foundation, <br /> but will need to be determined by the Board of Health because of the septic system. <br /> As depicted on the house plan,there will also be a roof deck above the new room that will <br /> extend from an existing bedroom. The new room will have four windows in the front and <br /> three on the side with the doors and two windows in the back. There will be a railing above <br /> to match the doors below. <br /> Chairman Furbush had no issues and polled the Board for comments. There were no more <br /> comments. <br /> 1 <br />
