[flnt'N <br />) n of Maslipee <br />�IX 16 C r~eat JNcck J�oad A'Urth <br />Alashpec, Wasmdtuscus fi` 649 <br />MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 13, 2021 <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, October 13, <br />2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Waquoit Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road <br />North. Acting Chairman, William A. Blaisdell, Ron Bonvie, Scott Goldstein, Norman J. <br />Gould, Associate Members Sharon Sangeleer, George Ganzenmuller, and Charlie Reidy <br />were present. Building Commissioner, David Morris was also present. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Mr. Blaisdell opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and announced that the hearings were being <br />televised live on Mashpee TV. He will take public comments after each hearing. Chairman, <br />Jonathan Furbush was absent. <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br />36 Summersea Road: Petitioner, Joseph Anastos requests a Special Permit under § 174- <br />17.1 and § 174-33 to raze and replace a pre-existing non -conforming single family structure <br />on property located in an R-3 Zoning District, Map 105 Parcel 26, Mashpee, MA. (Owner <br />of record: 36 Summersea LLC). (Continued from September 8, 2021 hearings at the <br />request of the Board). <br />Mr. Bonvie was Acting Chairman along with two regular Board Members and Associate <br />Members, Sharon Sangeleer and George Ganzenmuller. <br />Mr. Anastos represented himself and said that he submitted a notice of intent with the <br />Conservation Department. At the last hearing, the Board requested a revised site plan that <br />depicted the setbacks from the wetlands as requested under Section 174-33. The applicant <br />withdrew the application under Section 174-17.1 because the lot is within the New Seabury <br />Special Permit. The Board reviewed the revised plan dated August 12, 2021 that depicted <br />the setbacks, but it did not show the lot coverage. <br />Sharon read the Conservation Department comments into the record and approved a plan <br />at their September 23, 2021 meeting. She also read the Board of Health comments into the <br />record. <br />Dave Morris, Building Commissioner discussed the issues relative to the retaining wall and <br />the setbacks from the abutting property. He told the Board that there have been a lot of <br />building projects proposing retaining walls that are over the allowed height. There has also <br />been issues with water runoff. <br />1 <br />
