• Various Applications for Personal Exemption: Carole A. Gaffney — 53 Finway; Clause 17D —Widow's Exemption Robert T. Hunt —43 Windsor Way; Clause 37A— Blind Exemption Gail F. Slattery Trustee —30 Grant Breen Dr.; Clause 17D —Widow's Exemption Paul Andrews motioned that the personal exemptions be approved as listed in the agenda. Gregg Fraser seconded the motion. VOTE: Yes-3 Roll Call Vote: John Bartos, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes, Paul Andrews, yes • Office Update from Director of Assessing —Jason Streebel Director Streebel updated the Board with regard to both assessing clerks announcing their intentions to retire. Carol Souza on 7/6/21 and Susan Derome on 7/15/21. The board thanked them for their many years of fine service to the Assessing Department and to the Town of Mashpee. Mr. Streebel noted that; as suggested by the Town Manager, both positions'job descriptions would be rewritten to improve office workflow and management. One of the positions would be elevated to an Administrative Assistant and one would remain as an Administrative Secretary. Director Streebel relayed the sad news that the Sandwich Assessor, Ed Childs, had passed after a long battle with cancer. The board expressed their condolences on the loss of a great colleague and friend. Mr. Streebel also informed the board of the current temporary policy of all office doors being locked to avoid a further incident of a member of the public gaining unauthorized access to the interior of any town hall office.
