Chairman, Jonathan D. Furbush, Board Members, Ron Bonvie, Scott Goldstein, <br /> Associate Members, Sharon Sangeleer, George Ganzenmuller, James Reiffarth, and <br /> Charlie Reidy were present. Building Commissioner, David Morris was also present. <br /> Chairman Furbush opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and announced that the hearings were <br /> being televised live on Mashpee TV as a virtual/remote meeting. He will take comments <br /> after each hearing. <br /> CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> 15 Herring Gull Road: Owner,Southworth Mashpee Properties,LLC requests a Variance <br /> under §174-31 (Land Space Requirements) of the Zoning Bylaws to reduce the minimum <br /> lot area from 40,000 sq. ft. to 32,181 sq. ft., on property located in an R-3 Zoning District, <br /> Map 76 Parcel 125, Mashpee, MA. (Continued from April 14, 2021 hearings at the <br /> request of the Board). <br /> Sharon read a letter dated May 10,2021 from Attorney,Jack McElhinney with Southworth <br /> Mashpee Properties, requesting a continuance until Wednesday, June 9, 2021, <br /> Mr. Bonvie made a motion that the Board accept the continuance letter as outlined and read <br /> into the record. <br /> Mr. Goldstein, seconded, yes. Mr. Reiffarth, yes, Mr. Bonvie, yes, Mr. Ganzenmuller, yes, <br /> and Mr. Furbush, yes. All were in favor to accept the continuance letter. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> -Board to discuss peer review recommendations and procedures with Evan Lehrer, <br /> Town Planner. <br /> Chairman Furbush mentioned that at the last meeting there were a number of commercial <br /> projects on the Agenda that the Board felt that should be reviewed by a consulting engineer. <br /> In the past, the Board would ask Charlie Rowley, Consulting Engineer for the Town to <br /> review and inspect site plans, waste water, and drainage calculations for projects to make <br /> sure they were done appropriately as shown on the plans. Once the Board approves the <br /> project, how can the Board hold the builder accountable?This issue has created a loophole <br /> in the procedure, so how can the Board get this done without delaying the whole process <br /> and having the applicant return to the Board a month later. <br /> 1 <br />
