OTHER BUSINESS
-Board to discuss peer review recommendations and procedures with Evan Lehrer,
Town Planner.
Chairman Furbush mentioned that at the last meeting there were a number of commercial
projects on the Agenda that the Board felt that should be reviewed by a consulting engineer.
In the past, the Board would ask Charlie Rowley, Consulting Engineer for the Town to
review and inspect site plans, waste water, and drainage calculations for projects to make
sure they were done appropriately as shown on the plans. Once the Board approves the
project, how can the Board hold the builder accountable? This issue has created a loophole
in the procedure, so how can the Board get this done without delaying the whole process
and having the applicant return to the Board a month later.
