ARTICLE 7
To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $11,000 from the Waterways
Improvement Account to the Waquoit Popponesset Account, or take any other action
relating thereto.
Submitted by Waterways Commission
Explanation: This amount of money is required to pay the County Dredge for material
dredged during the February March 1999 maintenance dredging in the Popponesset Bay nt
Area. When the Harbormaster Department and Waterways Commission were planning Dn
the maintenance, we estimated that the amount of material to be dredged would not be
exceed the funds remaining from the sum voted at Town Meeting in October 1996. The 'd
before-dredge survey on 17 February 1999 shows that we have underestimated the
funds needed by $11;000. The money is available to be transferred from the us
Waterways Improvement Fund.
Recommendation; The Finance Committee recommends approval. n
Motion: I move Article 7 be indefinitely postponed.
Motion to be made by Curtis Frye.
PCi-5-S
a
I;
it
Ie
j
8
a
n
