Board Members present were Chairman Edward <br /> M. Govoni,Vice Chairman James E.Regan III and Associate Member Richard T. 04 <br /> Guerrera. Board Member Robert G.Nelson and Associate Members James M.Dorgan <br /> and Michael A. Makunas were absent. Building Commissioner William F. Hauck and <br /> Local Inspector Russell W. McGee,Kimberly McGee et al:Request a Special Permit under <br /> Section 174-25■I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for the construction of a pier,ramp and float on <br /> t <br /> Spoondrift Cove on property located in an R 3 zoning district at 16 Spoondrift Circle , , <br /> (Map 111 Block 118),Mashpee,MA. <br /> Members sitting: Edward M. Govoni,James E.Regan III and Richard T. Guerrera. ' <br /> g <br /> John Slavinsky of Cape&Islands Engineering represented the applicants and stated that <br /> the Special Permit(SP-96-34)granted by the Board of Appeals in June 1996 has expired. ;' '{ <br /> An abutter appealed the decision that had been filed with the State agency at that time. <br /> The final outcome of what to do with the particular dock was determined by the <br /> Harbormaster,the abutter,the State agency and the Federal agency. An on--site meeting CIE , <br /> was conducted in November 1998 with the Federal agency,Harbormaster, Conservation ''; <br /> Commission and Division of Waterways being present. The 8 x 24 foot float was reduced ;.�':� <br /> to a 6 x 16 foot float for navigational purposes. The Board received a letter from Perry <br /> Ellis,Harbormaster, dated November 11 5 199$ requesting that the float size q g ze be reduced <br /> from an 8 x 24 foot float to a 6 x 16 foot float, .' <br /> Paul Zammito, an abutter at 4 Spoondrift Circle, stated that he had no problem with the l , � <br /> reduction of the float size. However,he expressed concern with the size of the beam of f' <br /> the boat that would be docked at the subject property. He submitted a letter from his <br /> lot <br /> attorney,Boyd&Boyd, addressed to the Department of Environmental Protection. The <br /> letter requested reduction of the float size,location of the pilings and limit of the beam <br /> size of the boat. �, + <br /> Mr. Govoni stated that the Board of Appeals has no jurisdiction over the size of the boat .' .,,�► <br /> � v t <br /> beam. He suggested to Mr.Zammito that the Harbormaster would be the proper „ <br /> authorityto address regarding the size of the boat beam and navigational concerns. <br /> g g g <br /> Mr. Slavinsky stated that the Conservation Commission reissued an extension to the <br /> applicants. <br /> C ' <br /> I ' <br />
