Carter, Jr. <br />Application for a Special Permit <br />161 Commercial Street <br />Assessor Map 88, Parcel 19 <br />Dear Chairman Peterson: <br />0 Please be advised that I, together with Daniel Ojala, • P.E. of Down Cape <br />Engineering, Inc., represent the above -referenced applicant, Jack G. Carter, Jr., with <br />respect to this Application. <br />INTRODUCTION/REOUESTS FOR RELIEF <br />Mr. Carter seeks to construct a 7,432 square foot building and operate a classic car <br />sales, storage, repair and restoration business on a 1.78 acre lot in the Mashpee Industrial <br />Park located at 161 Commercial Street (the "Premises"). <br />The Premises is conforming and the proposed structure will meet all applicable <br />dimensional requirements of the Zoning Bylaw. <br />Automobile repair shops are allowed in the Industrial Zone by Special Permit <br />under § 174-25.F(3). The proposed use is greater than 1,000 square feet of floor area, <br />nonresidential, not in a C-3 District, and less than five acres and, accordingly, may <br />require a Special Permit from the Board of Appeals under § 174-24.C(1). Mr. Carter is <br />hereby petitioning the Planning Board for a Special Permit under these provisions of the <br />Zoning Bylaw in order to allow his proposed business.
