Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 5, 200 <br /> Fire Chief—Request to Increase Ambulance Fees: <br /> Chief Baker presented information to the Selectmen concerning changes <br /> to Medicare reimbursement beginning in January of 2004. <br /> Recommendations for fee increases associated to ambulatory services <br /> were presented in a memorandum from Coastal Medical Billing, the <br /> ambulance billing frm for the Town. The recommended base rates are <br /> approximately 2 % above the fully implemented fee schedule rates. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Ambulance Fee <br /> rates as presented effective February 1, 2004. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4- , <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> The Flume--Reauest for Closing Extension: <br /> Janice Mills was present to request the Selectmen extend the closure of <br /> The Flume to the end of January 2004 Niue to unforeseen circumstances. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the_closure of The <br /> Flume to January 31, 2004 as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> S: <br /> Police Chief—Request uest for l 11 F Benefits: <br /> Correspondence was received from Maurice Cooper; Chief of Police dated <br /> December 15, 2003 requesting the Board grant 111 F benefits to Patrol <br /> Sergeant John Santangelo for injury sustained on duty. officer Santangelo <br /> was out of work for 4 days from December 11, 2003 through December <br /> 14, 2003. <br /> Motion made by Selectman 1 arsters to approve benefits under MG1,, <br /> Chapter 41, Section 11IF for Police Patrol Sergeant John Santangelo <br /> for 4 days due to Injury on Duty. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-00 <br />
