<br /> On February 5, 2014 a Petition was filed by Alfred S. DeFazio, Trustee requesting
<br /> a Special Permit under §174-25.I (9) of the Zoning By-laws to allow for construction of a
<br /> landing, stairs, pier, ramp and float extending across a total of more than seventy feet of
<br /> coastal beach, coastal bank, salt marsh, or bordering vegetated wetlands and/or coastal
<br /> wetlands, on property located in an R-3 Zoning District at 204 Captains Row, (Map 90
<br /> Parcel 2), Mashpee, MA.
<br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws
<br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on February 21, 2014 and February 28, 2014
<br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
<br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
<br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §6 and the Town of Mashpee
<br /> Zoning By-laws.
<br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
<br /> Wednesday,March 12,2014 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals
<br /> were present and acting throughout; Chairman,Jonathan Furbush,Vice Chairman,William
<br /> A. Blaisdell, Board Member, James Reiffarth, Associate Members Domingo K. DeBarros
<br /> and Scott Goldstein were present. Building Commissioner, Richard Morgan was also
<br /> present. Board Members Ron Bonvie and Richard Jodka were absent.
<br /> Attorney, Kevin Kirrane, representing Mr. DeFazio stated that his hearing was
<br /> continued with the Conservation Commission and they did not have the opportunity to act
<br /> and as a result requested a continuance until the next Zoning Board hearings scheduled
<br /> May 14, 2014.
<br /> Public Hearings on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Waquoit Room
<br /> at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North. Chairman,Jonathan Furbush,Vice
<br /> Chairman, William A. Blaisdell, Clerk, Ronald Bonvie, Board Members, James Reiffarth,
<br /> and Richard Jodka, Associate Members Domingo K. DeBarros and Scott Goldstein were
<br /> present and acting throughout. Building Commissioner,Richard Morgan was also present.
