Continued from <br /> April 1 , 000 <br /> The applicant was represented by Dave Sanicki, Cape& Islands Engineering. This was <br /> continued from 1 awaiting comments from Mr. Rowley. However, according to <br /> Mr. Sanic1d,there were comments in the PI hoard file from.11 r. Rowley,dated <br /> ll 1 00. r. Sanicki received the referenced letter,b -fax,two days prior to the current <br /> meeting. Mr. f uchinski read and summafized her. f` owley's 3/1/00 letter. Mr. Sanicki <br /> stated that at the last hearing the board request that he add in l o' natural vegetated <br /> buffer strip. Mr. Sanicki reviewed same and sent a utter and package to llrir. Rowley <br /> addressing his concems. Where is no problem, at this point, with the drainage as the road <br /> is super elevated and slopes away from the intersection; all the raueiage is god into <br /> existing catch basins on the opposite side of the street. with regards to the grades,Mr. <br /> Sanicki is suggesting a transition throat back to the catch basins and standard crown <br /> grove going the other way. Runoff should not be a problem. 11►+Ir. Ro vley's other <br /> concern related to the cul-de-sac area.; Mr. Rowley asked because of the soil condition <br /> ' down was good sand with sandy loam above, consider installing a leaching basin. <br /> One been added to the lower section such that the.basin would be below the sand <br /> layer with a grade on top. Mr. Rowley picked up on a low point that didn't show on the <br /> topo;Mr. Sanicid has spot elevations to show Mr. Rowley.Arley. The omission was a type by <br /> the dmftsman. Mr. Rowley asked for details of the headwall; Mr. Vicki has provided <br /> the standard DPW details. Mr. Sanicid has spoken with Mr. Rowley via telephone that <br /> indicated the DPW details are satisfactory. lair. Rowley ley asked if town water was <br /> available; fir. Sanicki responded that it is, Mr. Sanicki will add the water main on the <br /> probe the proposed location of the water main which will be on the arrest side. Mr. <br /> F udala asked Mr. Sanicki why water main is on the other side from the houses. Mr. <br /> Sanicki responded that the Board of Health prefers the septic systerns be in the front of <br /> the house; the water Dept. doesn't want the water within 1 ' feet of the septic systems. <br /> The water main will be installed as part of the initial project. A letter has been mailed to <br /> Mr. Rowley, dated o ,addressing his comments. Mr. Malone lone asked if there was a <br /> Vegetation Plan for the buffer zone. Mr. Sanicki.said he did not know he was supposed <br /> to do a vegetation plan. He was planning to add a compact row of . Mr. <br /> Malone requested the applicant submit a landscape detail plan at which point Mr. Fudala <br /> requested a landscape architect should do the plan with tenance plan. Mr. Sanicki <br /> stated that whiff cedars are on the Conwrvation Commission list. <br />
