Board Members Jonathan D. Furbush,
Williams A. Blaisdell, James Reiffarth, Judy Horton and Associate Members John
Dorsey and Domingo K. DeBarros were present. Building Commissioner Richard
E. Morgan was also present. Board Member Ronald Bonvie was absent.
Chairman Jonathan D. Furbush opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. He announced
the meeting was not televised and asked Judy Horton to read the continued
hearing.
CONTINUED HEARINGS
Jeffrey R. and Sheila Eydenber¢, Trustees: Request a Special Permit under
§174-63 and §174-27.2 of the Zoning By-laws concerning variation of restrictions
under Article XI Flood Plane Zone Provisions and Storm Water Management to
raise the grade on property located in an R-3 Zoning District at 16 Squaws Lane
. (Map 117 Parcel 83) Mashpee, MA. At the request of Cape and Islands
Engineering this is continued from March 13, 2013 public hearings.
Jolm Slavinsky, with Cape & Islands Engineering, 800 Falmouth Road, Suite
301C, Mashpee, MA, introduced himself to the Board representing the
Eydenbergs and presented revised plans with specific dimensions requested by the
Board at the previous meeting on March 13, 2013.
The revised plans depict the actual dimensions for the height of "hydro wall' in
the front, the height of the wall above the base of the foundation, and the height of
the wall above the ground water.
John Slavinsky said he removed 4 inches from the top of the wall located at the
back of the property. At the previous meeting, it was mentioned that one section
of the wall was found to be less than 3 feet because of one small section on the
property line. This section in the back between two abutters and both were filled
into a "valley" and unless you read this plot plan it is hard to visualize.
John Slavinsky mentioned the reinforced concrete wall is strictly a Title V Board
of Health requirement and limited to exactly where it will be installed. This wall
is overkill by a factor of 50, which is about 2 ft. 4" out of the ground.
1
