Chapter 40A §6 concerning continuance, <br /> extension or alteration of a pre-existing, non-conforming structure to construct a small <br /> addition and detached boathouse with two bedrooms on property in an R-3 Zoning District <br /> at 65 Seconsett Point Road (Map 124 Parcel 14-0-R) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 5, 2013 and July 12, 2013 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> On July 24, 2013, Public Hearings were held on this Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall at which time the following Board members were present, Board Members Jonathan <br /> D. Furbush, William A. Blaisdell, James Reiffarth, Ronald S. Bonvie, John M. Dorsey and <br /> Associate Members Domingo K. DeBarros and Richard J. Jodka were present. Building <br /> Commissioner Richard E. Morgan was also present. <br /> On July 24, 2013, Public Hearings, this hearing was continued to Wednesday, <br /> August 14, 2013 due to safety concern questions and setbacks in this neighborhood. The <br /> police and fire departments apparatus need to maneuver on this road. Also, the Board <br /> requested the existing and proposed elevations and updated floor plans. <br /> On August 14, 2013,Public Hearings,this hearing was continued to September 11, <br /> 2013, due to the Board suggesting the applicant re-file under Section 174-33, concerning <br /> setbacks from the water and wetlands. Attorney Brian Wall, representing the applicant <br /> submitted a letter dated August 15, 2013 requesting an extension until the Public Hearings <br /> dated September 11, 2013. <br /> On August 28, 2013, Public Hearings, the Board voted to accept the applicant's <br /> letter of extension and is attached to this Decision. <br /> 1 <br />
