Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 9, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> DPW--Snow& Ice Budget: <br /> Gregory {Taylor, Director of Public Works was present to request the <br /> Selectmen allow the department to deficit spend the snow& ice account <br /> until the end of the winter season. with the current snow storm, the DPW <br /> will. surpass the $11 , 0 budgeted for snow and ice. <br /> i <br /> Lotion made by Selectman Ca alane to allow the Department of <br /> Public works to deficit spend the Snow& fee Account as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOA: 'Unanimous. - . <br /> Selectman Taylor absent for vote. <br /> The Selectmen requested the Director of Public Works update the hoard <br /> on a bi-weekly basis regarding funding that is expended from the snow <br /> ice account. <br /> Friends of the Mashme Senior Center Sign,bequest: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Friends.of the Mashpee Senior <br /> Center, Inc. dated January 16, 24 requesting to place two signs at the <br /> Mashpee Rotary that would depict a thermometer showing the FMSC, Inc, <br /> progress towards reaching their goal of$400,000 for the new senior <br /> center's needs. <br /> The matter was discussed with a representative of the' 'MSC. The <br /> Selectmen indicated that they could support 1 sign at the Mashpee <br /> Rotary. Discussion followed with regards to placing the additional sign at <br /> the present senior center and/or at the new site of the senior center facility. <br /> Selectman{Taylor present. <br />
