MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
DECEMBER 11, 2013
MINUTES
Mr. Goldstein asked Mr. Smith if he is allowed to maintain the septic himself. He stated he
is required to have a licensed inspector inspect the system.
Mr. Blaisdell stated he request a letter from Board of Health that the fine was paid prior to
returning to the next ZBA Hearings.
Mr. Blaisdell read an email comment from Stephen Mone, Harbormaster dated 12/3/2013.
"The Harbormaster requires that the dock/floats must be updated to black hard plastic
encapsulated block flotation and all the foam/Styrofoam be removed and disposed of
properly. This will help eliminate the issue of storm bourn debris on our bays, lakes and
rivers. Also that the street address must be permanently and clearly displayed with
minimum of 3" block letters with contrasting color at end of pier/piling for emergency
purposes, and in addition to the owners address be permanently affixed on all floats and
ramps with 3" block letters with contrasting color." Otherwise, The Harbormaster has no
issue with these plans."
The Board determined a refiling with the Zoning Board of Appeals would apply if the
applicant decides to construct a.dock.
Mr. Blaisdell made a motion to continue Mr. Smith's request for a walkway until January
8, 2014 contingent upon receiving a letter from the Board of Health stating the $800 fine
was paid. Mr. Furbush second, Mr. DeBarros, yes, Mr. Goldstein, yes. All were in favor.
The Board approved the November 13, 2013 meeting minutes. Mr. Blaisdell, second, Mr.
Furbush, yes, Mr. Goldstein yes. All approved.
Mr. Blaisdell made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Furbush, second, Mr. DeBarros, yes, Mr.
Goldstein, yes. All were in favor.
Respectfully submitted;
o, o. r.. LCt vw
Mary Ann Romero
Administrative Secretary
Zoning Board of Appeals
7
