9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> • March 1, 2004 <br /> Meeting resumed: 6:55 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Department of the Air Force—Request for Approval: <br /> Michael Minior, AFCEE was present to request the Town's permission to <br /> install well screens in two drive point locations at property located off <br /> Horseshoe Bend Way for future monitoring purposes. Additionally, they <br /> would require periodic access for collecting samples. If permission is <br /> granted, work would commence in early March 2004. <br /> The scope of the work was outlined in a memorandum addressed to the <br /> Selectmen dated February 11, 2004. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve of the Department of <br /> the Air Force, a license for the assessment and response installation <br /> program to conduct ground water sampling and monitoring well <br /> installation at the site location reflected on map 40, parcel 22. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Town Clerk—Election Day Evacuation Procedure: <br /> Deborah Dami, Town Clerk was present to discuss the proposal of her <br /> office to develop an election evacuation procedure to insure that the <br /> integrity of the election is maintained at the highest level of importance <br /> and that the evacuation would take place in a calm manner. Established <br /> for the Selectmen's review were short and long-term evacuation <br /> procedures. <br /> It was noted that the Town Clerk met with Town Counsel and the Police <br /> and Fire Chief's to obtain input into the evacuation proposal. The <br /> Selectmen were in support of the Town of Mashpee Election Day <br /> Evacuation Procedures as outlined. <br /> • <br />
