MOTION: Mr. Kooharian made a motion .to recommend these changes to Town Meeting. Mr. <br />Bal arini seconded the motion. Au voted unanimously. 4 <br />3) Article eliminating Plan and Design Review Committees review of accessory <br />apartu ents and amending sign regulations for multi -unit non-residential properties - <br />Mr. Fudala reported that FinComm voted 3-3 on the Article because of the accessory <br />apartment removal of review by the Design/Review Committee. Mr. Fudala summarized <br />that it would eliminate review by Design/Review and would address, concerns of multiple <br />tenant buildings, ensuring that -all tenants would get their share of the 1 % allowable <br />ignage. Building Commissioner NQe Mendoza and Chair of'Plan/Review Committee <br />stated that accessory apartment review by both the Design/Review Committee and the <br />Zoning Board ofAppeals was a duplication of efforts because the same people are being <br />notified. Mr. Mendoza added that homeowners need to take during the day from their jobs <br />to attend the Plan Review meeting whereas the ZBA meets during the evening. The <br />Articles was designed to eliminate the duplication, the same departments would hair an <br />opportunity to review the plans. The. hair stated that she was in support of the Article for <br />accessory apartments only and not lamer projects that would benefit from the additional <br />review and feedback from I esigntReview. Mr. Mendoza agreed. There were no additional <br />comments. The B S voted to support the Article - . <br />MOTION: Mr. Bal arini. made a motion to recommend both sections to Town Meeting.
