It was the general onsensu-s of Planning Board Members <br /> Beverly Kane,. Dennis Blarini, Myrna Duey, and Thomas <br /> O'Hara, to require an updated plan drawn to scale <br /> indicating what is currently constructed on the site and <br /> intentions for the proposed common driveway, prior to their <br /> making a decision in this matter. <br /> i <br /> There being no further Board or Public comment, the <br /> Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Dennis Balrini made- a Motion to continue <br /> the Pu lic Hearing in this matter to August 15, 2007, at <br /> . . ; which Motion was duly seconded by Thomas O' Hara <br /> and so voted unanimously. <br /> Workshop <br /> Cape Cod Commission FOP-P Land Use Mapping <br /> The Chairman called this matter to- order and <br /> recognized Heather McElroy, Natural Resources and open <br /> Space. she introduced Jahn Lipman, Executive Director; <br /> Anne Reynolds, GIs Department; and Joanne Miller-Buntich, <br /> Town of Barnstable Planning fepartme.nt. <br /> Overview <br /> M . McElroy explained the reason for appearing before <br /> the Board is to introduce the land use mapping initiativ , <br /> which is a regional project to develop a vision for land <br /> use on Cape Cod a-nd to represent the policies of the <br /> Regional Policy Plan on the land use wrap. <br /> Objectives - Ongoing effort to better coordinate <br /> regional and local land use planning. The establishment of <br /> a regional map identifying locations for concentrated <br /> development/growth activity centers and other significant <br /> areas of protection (sensitive resources) . Assist local <br /> planning efforts., focusing on growth areas and areas of <br /> protection. <br /> Why we Are Here - The 21t Century Task Force has made <br /> a number of recommendations to the Cape Cad Commission to <br /> help improve their functions . One suggestion was to create <br /> a Cape-wide regional map that will assist and guide in <br /> planning and zoniftg matters . Said map should identify <br /> growth areas, potential redevelopment areas, <br /> infrastructures, and natural resources . <br />
