<br /> Mashpee Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) <br />Minutes – October 26, 2021 <br />6:00 PM <br />Popponesset Meeting Room <br />Mashpee Town Hall <br /> <br />Present: Carol Sherman, Denise Duston, Pamela McCarthy, Robyn Simmons, Glenn <br />Thompson <br /> <br />Absent: Patrice Pimental <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Approval of the minutes for September 28, 2021: <br /> <br />Approval of the minutes for September 28, 2021 was tabled until the next meeting. <br /> <br />3. Treasurer’s report <br /> <br />The EDIC’s checking account balance is $25,136.48 The money market account balance is <br />$305,233.64. <br /> <br />4. Old Business <br /> <br />The Housing Trust will meet on November 12 at the next Select Board meeting. Glenn <br />Thompson will be there. <br />Town Meeting results: Town Meeting voters approved the transfer of the deed for the parcel on <br />108 Commercial Street to the Affordable Housing Trust. Carol brought a copy of the draft of an <br />RFP for the committee to look at; the EDIC will pay for the feasibility study. <br />5. New Business <br />Carol Sherman was asked to sign a letter on behalf of the EDIC in support of South Eastern <br />Economic Development (SEED) Corporation receiving a new revolving loan fund under the <br />Economic Adjustment Assistance Program from the EDA. SEED supplies money to small <br />businesses that can’t get loans from the bank. Pamela McCarthy moved the EDIC approve <br />this; Denise Duston seconded the motion. It was unanimously approved. <br />Carol Sherman said there would be more roundtable discussions with town boards. The next <br />one coming up will be on November 8 with the Board of Health, the Conservation Commission, <br />the Planning Board, and the Sewer Commission. The focus will be on water quality. <br />The job fair date wasn’t yet decided—it will likely be the first week of December. Carol <br />Sherman called Patrice Pimental, who said she would get a date by October 27 so Carol can <br /> <br />
