<br /> Mashpee Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC) <br />Minutes – September 28, 2021 <br />6:00 PM <br />Popponesset Meeting Room <br />Mashpee Town Hall <br /> <br />Present: Carol Sherman, Pamela McCarthy, Robyn Simmons, Glenn Thompson <br /> <br />Absent: Denise Duston, Patrice Pimental <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Approval of the minutes for July 27, 2021: <br /> <br />Pamela McCarthy moved we approve the minutes, Glenn Thompson seconded the motion, <br />The minutes were unanimously approved. <br /> <br />3. Treasurer’s report <br /> <br />The EDIC’s checking account balance is $26,136.48 The money market account balance is <br />$305,221.10. <br /> <br />4. Old Business <br /> <br />Patrice Pimental sent in her resignation from the Housing Trust, Glenn Thompson was <br />appointed. <br />5. New Business <br />Carol Sherman shared some news regarding the update to the Local Comprehensive Plan. In <br />2020, Town Meeting authorized $150,000 to update town’s comprehensive plan. After posting <br />the RFP, the Planning Board recommended to the Town Manager Weston and Sampson as <br />the Board’s consultant to assist with the update to the Local Comprehensive Plan. After review <br />of the best price, Weston and Sampson were offered the contract. On 9/27/2021, Evan Lehrer, <br />the Town Planner, received the signed contract; the next step is to get the Town Manager’s <br />counter signature and excute the agreement this week. Once that happens, Evan will set up <br />kick off meetings, which he anticipates getting underway in the next couple of months. The <br />plan update will likely take two years. . Following the execution of the contract, Evan will start <br />kickoff meetings. One person from the EDIC should be in the audience for each of these <br />kickoff meetings. The dates are to be decided. <br />After Town Meeting we will authorize the money to paid for the feasibility study for the <br />workforce housing project, likely in November. <br /> <br />
