F udal a
The meeting was called to order in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at : o p.m. in joint
session with the Board of Selectmen.
The first item of business was the joint appointment, with the Sele tinen, of a regular
member ofthe Planning Board to replace former Chair James Dorgan.
n a roll call vote; Selectmen G. Green, J. Chlan . D. Leeille, I . Hamsters and W.
Taylor all voted for Steven Dolan.
n a roll call vote. Planning Board members M. l eijering, I . Balzarim. B. Kane and I .
Terry all voted for Steven Dolan.
The total vote was 9 for.Steve Dolan, fl for any others.
The Planning Board then adjourned to separate session to Meeting Room 2 at :00 p.m.
to review and make recommendations on two zoning articles for the October 1. 2001
Annual Town Meeting.
The first article, listed as article 15 on the Warrant, proposed to-add "and Jul} 2, 1 9 "-to
the dates of the Flood Insurance Rate Baps listed in Section 174-58 of the Zoning By-
law and was submitted by the Building Inspector. The Board had a brief discussion of
the dates ofthe Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the Town and then voted unanimously to
recommend to Town Meeting that the article be amended-to read"Flood I nsuran a Rate
Maps dated June 5. 1985 as updated" and not refer specifically to July 2, 1992. This was
done because some of the Maps are still dated 1985, rather than 1992 and to avoid having
to amend the Zoning By-law every time F EMA amends the Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
The Board also noted that the Building Inspector is not one of the parties authorized to
submit Zoning articles for consideration by Towvn Meeting.
s the Board was infon-ned by the Building Inspector that the second article, listed as#1
on the Warrant (proposing a revision of Section 1 - 1 regarding the measurement of
building height) was to be indefinitely postponed, the Board took no action on that
i
=cle.
Having no other business; the Board then adjoumed.
Submitted by F.
