Hanlon V-10-05 Certificate Number: 92454 <br /> 491 Main Street Map 27 Parcel 73 <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on January 21, 2010 by Stephen R. Hanlon for a Variance <br /> from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the front setback <br /> requirements to allow for construction of a garage on property located in an R-5 zoning <br /> district at 491 Main Street (Map 27 Parcel 73) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on February 5, and February <br /> 12, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at which time the following members of the Board were <br /> present and acting throughout: Robert Nelson, Jonathan Furbush, William Blaisdell, <br /> James Reiffarth, and John Dorsey. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Hanlon represented his Petition and said that the topography of his property <br /> limits the location of the proposed garage. Members of the Board had visited the <br /> property and agreed that the back of the yard is a tremendously deep hole.
