Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
l' February 11, 2009
Zoning Board of Appeals
Minutes — Wednesday, January 28, 2009
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing
on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Mashpee Town Hall.
Board Members Robert Nelson, James Reiffarth, Jack
Dorsey, Jonathan Furbush, and William Blaisdell along with
alternate member Peter Hinden.
Robert Nelson opens the hearing at 7:00 pm.
Jonathan Furbush reads the continuances into the record. Peter
• Hinden asks if the Board members could also receive a copy of the
continuances so they may follow along with Mr. Furbush on the
hearings that are continued. However, Mr. Nelson informs the
Board that he is implementing a new rule whereby any applicant
before the ZBA may ask for no more than 2 continuances from
their end. Should the matter be continued for any business from
the Town — it will not count as a continuance from the applicant.
Mr. Nelson states that these continuances are far too frequent and
is unfair to the Mashpee residents as it causes undue burden to try
to follow the hearings and when the new dates will be. The Board
agrees with this new policy. Mr. Nelson also informs the Board
that if a hearing is advertised, the must now open the hearing and
continue it if a continuance is requested. The following two
matters are being continued until February 11, 2009 and this will
be the LAST continuance on these matters.
4•
