•
C7
Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
1 August 12, 2009
Zoning Board of Appeals
Minutes — Wednesday, August 12, 2009
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing
on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Mashpee Town Hall.
Board Members Robert Nelson, John Dorsey, Jonathan
Furbush, James Reiffarth and William Blaisdell were preser
Alternate member Peter Hinden was present.
Robert Nelson opened the hearing at 7:00 p.m.
Jobs Whitincis Trust: Douglas Storrs addresses the Board for an
extension on the Comprehensive Special Permit that was issued for
the project in Mashpee Commons. It is due to expire in February I'
2010. The procedure for this extension is generally 3 years. Lori
Corsi has spoken with Attorney Jason Talerman and he finds the
request acceptable under the current market conditions. He makes
the suggestion to grant the applicant a three year extension upon his
short presentation to the Board explaining the current status of
Mashpee Commons since there is no requirement that a public
hearing be held nor any notification given to abutters. Attorney
Talerman further suggests that Mr. Storrs give an update to the
Board annually on the status of the project. The Board mentions the
commercial portion of the Special Permit came from the Planning
Board. Mr. Storrs informs the Board that he will be seeking an
extension from the Planning Board as well. Mr. Nelson makes the
suggestion that Mr. Storrs or a representative give an annual report
on the first meeting in August — a status report in person or
something submitted in writing is acceptable. Mr. Storrs says this is
perfectly fine. Robert Nelson makes a motion to grant the extension
r
att,,T
♦ eM1 Sj.
