Mashpee Zoning Taurua DCP Mashpee 2008 LLC 2
Board of Appeals David Pina
Owner of Record: Carol Morgado
SP-08-13
.7
Attorney Kevin Kirrane represents the applicant in this hearing. They are
seeking a Special Permit for the property Mr. Pina is trying to purchase at 53
Bowdoin Road. They would like to have towing, auto and boat repair at the
property, along with his sanitation company. Mr. Pina wants the front of the
building for his auto and towing. The boats shown on the drawings are to
indicate one boat waiting to be repaired while the other is being worked on
(it is not for storage). Applicant intends to clean up the site which will make
a huge difference for the property itself and will make surrounding
businesses happy as well. There are not changes proposed to existing
building, only a change of use. The bylaws G(4) and F(3) are industrial uses
and are allowed with a special permit and it does not significantly impact the
neighborhood. Mr. Pina does not own the property at the moment, the
permits are contingent on purchasing the property.
Richard Stevens, Building Inspector, addresses the board about open
inspections—there are some that still need to be complete and the building
department will close them out when they are complete.
There is a set up for three different businesses that will take control of the
site.
Bob Nelson informs the applicant that the Design Review Committee had no
knowledge of the boat storage only the repair. There will be NO BOAT
STORAGE PERMITTED.
The question is asked if applicant needs to go back to Design/Plan Review?
Rich Stevens feels it is no necessary since time is of the essence for them
and their main function is not about storage.
