MASHPEE COMMONS LIMITED PARTNERSHIP <br /> May. 13, 2008 <br /> Mr. Robert Nelson, Chair <br /> Mashpee Board of Appeals <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road <br /> Mashpee MA 02649 <br /> Re: Variance Requests for the Mashpee Library <br /> Dear Mr.Nelson and Member of the Board, <br /> As a direct abutter on three sides of the parcel for the proposed Mashpee Town Library, <br /> Mashpee Commons LP has been in close communication with the Planning Committee <br /> for the Library as to the site plan for the proposed building. <br /> We are cognizant that the plans for the new Library will require five separate variance <br /> requests and that such requests for relief have been filed with the Board of Appeals. <br /> These include 1) the elimination of the 10' vegetative setback along the entire east side of a <br /> the parcel for the purposes of the creation of a sidewalk and paved parking along this east <br /> side, 2)front yard building setback relief from Steeple Street, 3) front yard building <br /> setback relief from Jobs Fishing Road, 4)a 10' intrusion into the 50'buffer.setback along <br /> the entire frontage from Rt 151 for paved parking purposes and 5) a variance as to the <br /> height of the building. <br /> Mashpee Commons LP as a direct abutter has reviewed each of these requests and is <br /> favor of the Board granting each request for relief from the setbacks and from the <br /> regulations pertaining to the height of the building. <br /> If you have any questions in this regard, as always,please feel free to contact me. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> G <br /> D ug as .
