Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
g May 14, 2008
Donna Pierce: She is a summer resident who often needs motel space for the overflow
of guests — she would not stay there because she feels it is not safe.
Peter White: He informs the Board that there are no criminal complaints against any of
his clients — and he feels he is providing temporary housing during a tough time in their
lives.
,lack Dorsey, one the Board members reviews the form Mr. White submitted that refer to
the percentages of transients. He questions how the percentage was arrived at out of
100%?
Bob Nelson discusses the fact that this was built as a seasonal operation and now that has
changed. It used to be closed in the winter. He asks the Board if anyone has any further
comments. There are none. Attorney Mills has nothing further and all members of the
audience that wish to be heard have addressed the Board. Since there is no further
testimony from anyone at this time, Mr. Nelson tells the Board that he will entertain a
motion. He cautions the Board to word the motion appropriately since we have had an
issue with some confusion on that before.
Jonathan Furbush makes a motion to Overturn the Building Commissioner's Decision.
Bob Nelson takes a roll call vote. Jonathan Forbush votes no, Robert Nelson votes no,
Jack Dorsey votes no, James Reiffarth votes no, and William Blaisdell votes no.
-- The motion is denied.
The Building Commissioner's Decision will remain intact. So moved.
Jonathan FUrbnSh makes a motion to adjourn. James Reiffarth seconds the motion. All
agree.
Hearing is adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
Re ectfully submitte
Lori Corsi, Office Mgr.
ZBA
Ez I d 0l 1nr go,
is U8310 Heol
33dHSVW -40 U01
