Box 208
Mashpee,"'-PTassachusetts 02649 `
Attention: March duPont, Chairman
Dear Members of the Conservation Commission;
This is in regards to the a plication of W. Leo Hallett
" (Arrow Engineering, Inc. - Agent to construct a fixed pier
across a marsh to a ramp and float for mooring on Hamblin
Pond, a tidal pond at Lot #37 Monomoscoy Road West, Assessors'
Map 114, Plot 19. I was present at the original hearing sched-
uled for May 8th but it was cancelled to 5-22-86, and I am an-
able to attend.
My main concern with the proposed ramp and float is the
proximity to my existing float with regard to water safety,
particularly with a large boat. Having observed the proposed
construction I note that the pier is angled toward Lawton' s
pier. If this is legal it might provide enough clearance to
protect my float.
Other objections regarding ecology and parking problems on
undovelb-ped land are familiar to me but these may- have to be
settled by your judgement call. As an abutter I do not wish to
deprive Mr. Hallett access into' the water but I also do not
wish to put my property in jeopardy.
:.
Ys trul ,
Jr.l n B. ood
for
i Kathryn V.
