Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise,
a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 28, 2006 and August
1, 2006, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on.
Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board
of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem,
Jonathan Furbush, Eric Dublirer and James Reiffarth. (Mr. Nelson did not sit)
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 10 and the Town of
Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Ransford Bawa represents himself at this hearing. He is seeking a variance in
order to build a farmer's porch to the front of his house and to extend his living room. He
is unable to meet the setback requirements to accomplish this. The Board reviews the
plans and Mr. Brem mentions he made a site visit and feels this would be an
improvement to the house and the neighborhood. Marshall Brem makes a motion to
grant a 10 foot front yard setback variance and a 1 foot sideyard variance on the easterly
side.
1
