Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
7 April 27, 2005
• concerned that more than one restaurant will move in there. Mr. Ford tells the Board that.
they have designed things every single way the Design Review has asked them and then
the ZBA, what is it that will make this decision process move forward? He also mentions
that if his clients does not use Quippish Road then they do not need the permitting from
Planning Board.
Mr. Sal Couto — the applicant addresses the neighbors. He gives them some history on
what he has owned in the past and how he has owned and operated many many Dunkin
Donuts. This particular one will not be of high volume since it will not have a drive tlnru
and there is a competitor very close by. He tells the neighbors that he will do whatever
they want to make things more comfortable for them (ie, lighting, paving, fencing etc.)
He encourages them to contact other stores and tenants he has to see how they are all
treated and how good of a landlord he it.
Mr. Dublirer mentions that he went to the parking lot of the hotel and watched the traffic
coming and going on Route 28 during peak rush hour. He felt this whole access on
Quippish Road would be very dangerous. Agnes Murray, an abutter, also wants a right in
right out on Route 28 to make it a safer project.
Mr. Nelson feels that the by law 174-12 footnote 12 refers to access on Quippish Road
and then they will need the definition of a street.
The parties continue. their argument back and forth until Mr. Nelson feels enough has
40 been said for the evening. The Board is aware of the controversy surrounding this project
and will need to get an opinion from Town Counsel. Tine matter is requested to be
continued. Since Ms. Elizenberry will not be at the next hearing, it will be continued
until May 25, 2005.
Ms. Elizenberry makes a motion to adjourn. Frederick Borgeson seconds the motion.
All agree. So moved. Meeting is adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
spectfully su itted,
Lori Corsi
OZ :OI WV 'io Nor so
• 33 HSVW .0`NA1
O1
