(attached is the continuance page)
Mr. Nelson informs everyone that Selectman Wayne Taylor would like to address the
ZBA.
Selectmen Taylor would like to expresss to the "ZBA and the audience that the Board of
• Selectmen are very concerned with the traffic problems the Town of Mashpee is currently
facing. There are many, many business along Route 28 that generate more traffic than
Mashpee can handle now let alone the thought of more businesses being permitted. They
want to have a joint meeting with the Planning Board as well as the ZBA to put their
heads together. Mr. Brem asks who and when will be arranging the meeting. Mr. Taylor
informs him the BOS office will be in contact. He thanks the Board for their time and all
of their hard work as a volunteer board for the decisions they are up against.
0
Informal: Christian Valle re: River Hill would like to discuss reducing the size of the
chain link fence around the drainage from 6 feet to 5 feet.
Christian Valle, Project Manager of the Chapter 40B project called River Hill addresses
the board regarding the.height of a required fence around a drainage area. The Board had
previously recommended a six foot high chain link fence around this area and it has been
brought to the attention of Mr. Valle that Mashpee only requires a five foot fence. He
would like permission from the Board to install a five foot fence instead of a six foot
fence. Mr. Brem asks him what the price difference is hopes that is not the reason. Mr.
Valle does not have all the numbers just yet but perhaps $1,000 - $2,000. The Board
refers to the letter from the engineer and feels if he thinks it is appropriate and safe they
have no problem with a five foot fence. Mr. Nelson makes a motion to allow the five
foot fence. Mr. Borgeson seconds the motion. All agree. So moved. Mr. Nelson
mentions that Mr. Valle should check with his insurance agent regarding this change
since that is referred to in the engineer's letter. Mr. Valle thanks the Board for their time.
