Mashpee Zoning
Board ofiAppeals Minutes
'',• 1 June 22, 2005
TOWN OF MASHPEE
Zoning Board of Appeals
Minutes — Wednesday, June 22, 2005
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 22,
2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members Robert Nelson, Zella
Elizenberry and Marshall Brem were present along with alternate members Jonathan
Furbush., James Reiffarth and Eric Dublirer. Board members Evano Cunha and
Frederick Borgeson were absent.
Mr. Nelson brought the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Christian Valle: Discussion of the Bond regarding River Hill
Christian Valle, Project Manager of The Valle Group is requesting an extension on the
• items due on the Bond. Mr. Valle is requesting a partial release of the bond money for the
items that have been completed and is also asking for an extension for the items that still
need to be done. He would like a $3,750 release and then upon the fence being installed
another $6,750 at that time. He goes on to tell the Board that the top coat of asphalt,
concrete, loam and seed on the shoulder of the roads still need to be done. However,
since there is still building going on (2 more houses) the plan is to complete this in the
spring so it does not get ruined. The fence will be installed over the fourth of July
weekend. Mr. Nelson would like to see only one release of the bond or perhaps one
partial release but certainly not 3 since it gets too confusing for the accounting
department. He suggests that after the fence is complete to have Mr. Rowley inspect it
and get a letter to them so they can at that time release about $10,000 of the original
$28,000 bond. They Board also votes to extend the bond until July, 2006. All agree. So
moved. Mr. Valle will come back to the Board on July 13'h to discuss this further.
Mute Swan Corporation: Requests a Special Permit from Sections 174-25 1.9 of the
Zoning By-laws in order to construct, maintain and license a pier, ramp and float on
Shoestring Bay on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 333 Simons Narrows
Road (Map 83 Parcel 214) Mashpee, MA.
Sitting: Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem, Eric Dublirer and Jonathan
Furbush.
John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands represents the applicant at this hearing. They are
• seeking to build a pier, ramp and float. He informs that Board that there have been
several problems with this property that have caused much delay in Conservation. To
