Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise,
a newspaper of general circulation on January 9 2004 and January 16, 2004 and again on
January 23, 2004 and January 30, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part in the Town of Mashpee, on hereof.
A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, February 18, 2004 (continued from January 28, 2004 due to inclement
weather) at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of Appeals were
present and acting throughout: Marshall Brem, Robert Nelson and James Regan.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 10 and the Town of
Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Carl Delorme of Mid-Cape Construction, Inc. represents the petitioner at this
hearing. They are seeking a variance from the front yard setback requirements in order to
build a farmer's porch and garage. The Board reviews the plans and they feel this will be
an improvement to the house. Robert Nelson moves to grant an I I-foot variance for the
farmer's porch and a 6-foot variance for the garage on Sunset Circle. Marshall Brem
seconds the motion. All agree, So moved.
